1. Who we are

All Sorted is an instruction-book service operated from Canada. Contact us at info@allsortedbook.com. We are not Australian-owned and we do not claim to be based in Australia. We sell a digital book to Australian buyers from Canada, and this note explains what happens to your personal information when you buy and use it.

2. What we collect

  • Account details: your name and email address, so you can sign in and we can send you updates about your book.
  • Your book answers: the information you enter in the interview — contacts, accounts, wishes, and instructions for the people who will use your book. This is the product: without it there is no finished book.
  • Sensitive information, only where you choose to give it: health wishes and similar details you enter as part of your instructions. We do not ask for passwords to your bank accounts, government ID numbers, or account numbers, and you should not enter them.
  • Payment details: payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us — we do not store card numbers. We receive confirmation of payment and the details needed to open your book.
  • Support messages: anything you send us when you ask for help.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

3. Why we collect it

To create your account, build your book, keep it updated for life, send you update reminders, process your payment, and answer support questions. We use your information for those purposes and for no unrelated purpose without your consent.

4. Where your information is held — please read this

Your book and account information is hosted in Canada, where our service operates. Payment processing is handled by Stripe in the United States, and account and support emails may also pass through email services in the United States.

That means your personal information is disclosed to recipients outside Australia, in Canada and the United States. The privacy laws of those countries may differ from Australian privacy law, and an overseas recipient may not be subject to the Australian Privacy Principles. We take reasonable steps to protect your information (section 6), and we remain accountable for it, but we cannot guarantee how a foreign government or court may treat information held in its jurisdiction.

5. Your consent to overseas disclosure

By creating an account and entering your book answers, you consent to your personal information being held and processed in Canada and the United States as described in section 4, and to the collection of any sensitive information you choose to enter in your book. You may withdraw that consent by asking us to delete your account (section 7), though we may need to keep limited records for legal or accounting reasons.

6. How we protect it

Your book is held in your account, accessible only by signing in. Access is limited to the people who operate the service. Payment card details are handled by Stripe under its own security standards and are not stored by us. No system is perfectly secure, and you should keep your sign-in details private and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

7. Access, correction and deletion

You can view and update your book answers in your account at any time. To ask for a copy of your personal information, correct something we hold, or delete your account and book, contact us at info@allsortedbook.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. Deletion removes your book from your account; limited payment or accounting records may be retained as the law requires.

8. Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your personal information properly, please contact us first at info@allsortedbook.com so we can try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

9. Changes to this note

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this note and tell account holders by email before the change takes effect where it materially affects them.

This note is not legal advice.
